‘Learn to Read’ workbook which I found on Amazon proved to be very useful in teaching my child phonics and reading words.Here is a list of books and games that are useful to learn sight words: Try out fun workbooks for phonics especially for kids who like riddles (worked for my preschooler who loves rhymes and riddles).Focus on a couple of sight words every week and re-enforce.Don’t go too fast with short and long vowels or they get confused.I couldn’t find many websites that have all of Fry’s sight words and most sites don’t have a sentence incorporating the sight words, so I created my own sight words worksheets which can be found here. My preschooler found these to be fun and enjoyed the activities, so your child might like them too.
